Plays of the Game!
Every session, we will award experience to the player with the "play of the game" which can be combat or roleplay. The play of the game will decided by me, the DM, although I will usually choose the most highly rated play as given in XP bonus by the other players.
- Week 1: Aym, played by Jim - Who says pacifists have to play nicely? Aym, seeing the terrified girl being enchanted by the goblin shaman, rushes up and shoves the creature away from her, effectively destroying its concentration and leaving him prone for attacks from the nearby rogue.
- Week 2: Aym, played by Jim - Pacifist, schmacifist! After witnessing the gruesome death of his older brother at the hands of a brutish orog, Aym drew the ancient greatsword, Vigilance, and strode up to tge brute and rent him from collar to sternum. This was a powerful moment as Aym dismissed his vow of nonviolence and avenged Findir's death in a fit of uncharacteristic rage.
- (Honorable mention: Sticky, played by Jay, who remained clutch in a battle in which all of his companions fell. Sepcifically landing a crutial critical hit when everything was on the line to put an end to the immediate orcish threat)
- Week 3: Sticky, played by Jay - Hands up! While everyone else sought training about Cloudharbor, Sticky took it upon himself to follow a young mage apprentice home and attempt to coerce him into training him in the ways of a wizard. Sticky lied, stating he was a young boy looking for a few tricks. The mage assumed the boy was in fact a sorcerer just learning his powers and stayed away from the subject. Not wanted to leave empty-handed, Sticky went for option B and attempted to rob the young mage and in return, was gifted a burning hands spell to his face.
- Week 4: Quell, played by Evan - Read'em N' Weep! Quell decided to play his hand at gambling with a local drunkard, who was flaunting his winnings. With the help of a little bamboozling magic, Quell quickly had the better of the dwarf. The raving drunk decided to win his money back on a last ditch effort and put up his fishing shack as ante. Instead of taking the dwarf for all he had, Quell instead backed down and the dwarf with two electrum to continue his addiction with others in the tavern.
